Hospital papers (pre-registration forms)
Insurance card and information
Change or calling card for phone calls
Pen, Phone numbers to call family & friends (Print out from PrintableChecklists.com)
Eyeglasses (best not to bother with contacts during this time)
Watch with a second hand to time contractions
Favorite item to use as focal point during labor (stuffed animal, photo, etc.)
Favorite pillow
Portable CD player or Tape player with relaxing music
Camera with plenty of film & batteries
Video Camera with blank tapes and charged battery
Sucking candies, lollipops, etc.
Lip balm to keep your lips moist

After Baby's Birth:

Nightgowns
Nursing bras, nursing pads/shields
Bathroom toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant)
Makeup, moisturizer, barrettes for hair
Bathrobe

Loose fitting clothes to travel home in
"Bringing home baby" outfit, blanket, and cap (weather appropriate)
Newborn diapers
Infant carseat
